Recent updates — late June 2026

A short changelog for early followers. NT² Vault is still pre-launch—this note covers what we shipped recently, not the full product map.
Context
We published a batch of problem-led stories on 28 June—Null Trust², seed phrases in Notes, ID photos in chat apps, and more. This post is the complement: what we changed in the product and on nt2.me since then.
The vault app remains pre-launch at se.nt2.me. Nothing here means you can open a public account today.
Vault app — recent changes
Present (show less, not upload more)
We simplified the Present flow—redacted in-person display when you need to confirm a field without sending a copy. The modal is cleaner, and plaintext QR presentation is easier to read on a phone screen. This matches the habit we described in mortgage proof without oversharing.
Receive hub
The Receive area now has a Text tab for quick Secure Note capture—useful when someone reads a code or phrase aloud and you want it in structured storage, not a sticky note.
Local-vault receive is now treated as a core path, not a buried setting.
Settings & sync
- Preferences (language, text size) moved above Vault & sync in Settings—display choices before cloud options.
- Device sync (LAN / WebRTC between your own devices) is split from Cloud sync on separate pages, so the two ideas do not blur together.
- The sync status chip is always visible—including when sync is off—so you are never guessing whether Premium sync is connected.
Unlock & navigation
- Pre-unlock password entry got polish: clearer friction, fewer dead ends before you reach your vault.
- Lock stays in the top bar on desktop and mobile—you should not hunt for it mid-session.
Inbox
Inbox actions were trimmed to scan and import—the two paths that matter when something arrives. Less menu noise.
Feature tiers
Experimental capabilities (such as nearby share) sit in a Preview tier in Settings. Core store, share, and present paths stay on by default.
nt2.me & this blog
- Operation guides shipped on nt2.me/guides—click-path help for vault screens, separate from blog stories.
- Blog preview badges — on staging and local dev, draft and scheduled posts show Draft or Scheduled so reviewers do not mistake preview URLs for live pages.
Still ahead
Public launch—opening se.nt2.me to everyone—is still the main gate. App store packaging for Tauri clients and Chrome Web Store listing for the Share assistant extension remain in progress.
We will post here when that flips. Until then:
